About K.D.

Kyle Dunn was born in Nashville, TN, to two human parents, toward the end of the Cold War. He is said to have attended high school somewhere, at some point in time, but sources close to the matter say they can neither confirm nor deny. Regardless, recently recovered documents suggest that he almost certainly infiltrated the literature departments of Belmont University and University of East Anglia, and received a Master’s Degree in English from Penn State. In 2015, he was awarded the James and Sara King Writing Award from Belmont University, and while teaching at Penn State, he also served on the Henry James Letters Project. The fact that such a malformed mind was able to achieve these honors is truly astonishing, and while his association with these institutions doubtless reflects poorly on their judgement, it is also yet another reason to believe that there is hope for even the most depraved and wretched among us.

After grad school, Dunn lived in Rennes, France, where he was able to procure a scant living as an English teacher, given that he exhibited a better grasp of his mother tongue than at least a quarter of France’s native population. Once sated with cheap wine and ennui, Dunn returned to his homeland, where he completed his first novel, The Lonely Americans, which he would later self-publish under the pen name William Atlas. The book sold very few copies and received mixed reviews, a fact that elated the author, because now he didn’t have to go through the hassle of quitting his day job or learning how to save money.

Kyle’s work has been published in the Belmont Literary Journal, and his upcoming novel, The Finer Things, which he co-wrote with New York Times Bestselling Badass J.D. Barker, will be released by Simon & Schuster on July 8th.

He currently lives in Nashville, Tennessee with his wise and beautiful wife, Olivia, and their two sons, James and Cormac. For obvious reasons, the author prays every night that his sons take after their mother.

His current project, The Vonn 19 Series, is a collection of novels published in serial form on Substack.
